Is the ticket to enter the Florence Duomo included in my purchase? +
Yes, tickets are included in all our tours.
What should I do if I have a booking with a GUIDED TOUR? +
Once you have purchased a tour with a guided visit, we will indicate the meeting point on your tickets. We recommend arriving 15 minutes in advance so that you can enjoy the visit without any issues.
What should I do if I have booked tickets with an AUDIO GUIDE? +
When you purchase your tickets with audio guide for the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, you will receive two emails. One is the purchase confirmation, and the other contains a link and instructions to access your customer area, where you will find your downloadable tickets and the audio guide.
What documentation do I need to access the monument? +
Tickets to the Florence Duomo are not nominative, but if you have a combined visit that includes access to the Dome, you must bring identification, as it will be required in order to go up. It is not permitted to use a photocopy, a photo on your mobile phone, or any digital format.
Can I bring my tickets in digital format?+
You can present your tickets in their original digital format, as long as they are perfectly legible at the time of entry and the barcode is clearly visible. Increase your screen brightness when passing through the scanner to ensure an optimal reading.
Do children need tickets to access the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore? +
Children under 7 years old enter the monument free of charge; however, it is necessary to indicate their visit so that they can be issued their corresponding ticket.
Can I change or cancel my tickets? +
No, once the booking has been made, it is not possible to modify details such as the name, date or time of the visit, nor cancel it. Refunds are not possible. These conditions are specified on the website and are accepted during the purchase process, including the final step, with the acceptance of our cancellation policy.
There are no exceptions of any kind (whether illness, COVID, work reasons, trip cancellations, etc.), as established by the entity.
Once the tickets have been purchased, NO RETURNS OR REFUNDS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
There is only one exception: the closure of the monument itself without prior notice. If this occurs, you are entitled to a full refund, which will be automatically processed using the same payment method used at the time of purchase.
Can I exercise the right of withdrawal? +
No, there is no right of withdrawal pursuant to Law 3/2014 of 27 March, which amends the revised text of the General Law for the Defence of Consumers and Users, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007 of 16 November. Article 103, which lists the exceptions to the right of withdrawal, establishes that the right of withdrawal does not apply to: (l) The provision of services related to leisure activities, where the contract provides for a specific date or period of performance.
Is it possible to eat inside the monument? +
No, it is not permitted to eat or drink inside the Florence Duomo, but there are plenty of places outside where you can do so once your visit is over.
Is there a cloakroom service in the monument? +
All visitors to the monumental complex of Piazza Duomo are required to deposit their belongings in the luggage storage located at Piazza Duomo no. 38/r. Suitcases, backpacks and medium or large bags must be stored there, as well as umbrellas, canes not used for walking, tripods, cameras, and any tool or object that may be considered dangerous at the discretion of the security staff.
Is the visit cancelled in case of rain? +
No, the visit can take place without any problem, regardless of the weather on that day.
What happens if the monument closes? +
If the monument has to close due to force majeure, the visit can be rescheduled to another day, or a full refund of the ticket price may be issued if it is not possible to reschedule the visit.
Are pets allowed inside the monument? +
No, pets are not allowed inside the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, but guide dogs or assistance dogs are allowed access with prior notification.
Can I enter the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore at a different time from the one selected during my purchase? +
No, when you purchase your tickets you choose the date and time at which you want to make your visit, and they are only valid for that selected time slot. In this way, crowds are avoided and everything is more fluid and comfortable for visitors. The tickets will not be valid at any other time or on any other day.
How long can I stay inside the Florence Duomo? +
There is no time limit for the visit beyond the opening and closing hours.
How long does it take to visit Santa Maria del Fiore? +
Visiting the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore can take more than one hour; the complete complex, including the dome and bell tower, takes between 2 and 3 hours.
How long does it take to climb Brunelleschi’s Dome? +
The climb is done with the rest of the group visiting in your same time slot, so it depends on the overall pace. It is estimated that the ascent takes between 20 and 25 minutes.
How many steps does Brunelleschi’s Dome have? +
To reach Brunelleschi’s Dome you must climb a spiral staircase of 463 steps.
How high is the dome of Santa Maria del Fiore? +
The dome of the Florence Duomo is 114 metres high, with an impressive diameter of 45.5 metres.
Can I enter the Florence Duomo with umbrellas, suitcases or backpacks? +
No, you may not enter with umbrellas, suitcases or backpacks. All items must be stored during the visit in the luggage storage located at Piazza Duomo no. 38/r.
